GAMEPLAY and SETUP
-
Yes. During the Play Phase, you may spend 1 Stamina to draw 1 card from the Item deck. This counts as an action available to players.
-
Yes. The Robot Proter Knight can be used by any Druid.
To add it to your team of robots, remove one of your current robots and replace it with the Robot Proter Knight. You must still have a maximum of 3 robots on your team.
-
Yes. You can mix beastborgs from the core game and any of the expansions. For the best balance, follow the Deck Composition table on page 16 of the rulebook.
However, you can also use the pre-built beastborg decks included in the expansions.
BEASTBORGS and ABILITIES
-
The Attack ability triggers whenever a Darach or Druid beastborg attacks. For a Druid beastborg, the Attack ability triggers immediately, before rolling the dice to determine whether the attack is successful.
-
Block and Blocked abilities trigger at the same time. When one of your beastborgs blocks a Darach beastborg, both beastborgs deal damage to each other simultaneously, and their respective abilities trigger at the same time.
-
The Defeated ability triggers when a beastborg is defeated and placed in the discard pile. The effect therefore triggers when the beastborg enters the discard pile.
-
Yes. Shadow beastborgs are treated as regular beastborgs for these effects. For example, they can be targeted by Item cards such as Runebomb, which can defeat them immediately. The only difference is that Shadow beastborgs cannot enter the Druid Row.
-
While a beastborg is Exhausted, it cannot attack, block, or use its Attack, Block, or Blocked abilities. However, the effects of its other abilities remain active.
Therefore, if you Exhaust a Shadow beastborg or a beastborg with Ward, its Ward effect remains active. You still cannot attack the Darach, and you cannot block that beastborg because an Exhausted beastborg cannot attack.
-
Whenever a Shadow ability says “Draw X cards” or uses a similar effect without specifying a target, the effect applies to the Druid.
Whenever an effect is meant to affect the Darach, the ability explicitly states so. For example: “The Darach draws X cards” or “The Darach tames a beastborg.”
-
Yes. Ward only prevents the Darach from being attacked. The Darach can still be damaged by beastborg, robot, or Druid abilities and by Item cards.
RELICS and TOKENS
-
Whenever a Darach or Druid beastborg is defeated or moves between rows, any Relic attached to it is placed in the discard pile.
If a beastborg moves between lanes within the same row, the Relic remains attached to it.
-
Yes. If, for instance, an ability states that a beastborg gains +1 Attack, place a +1 Attack token on it. The token remains on the beastborg until it is defeated or another effect removes it.
If an ability states that a beastborg gains +1 Attack until the end of the turn, the effect is temporary and ends at the end of that turn.
-
When a beastborg is defeated, remove all HP and Attack tokens from it.
If a beastborg moves between rows, its tokens remain on it and are not removed.
